Meeting Johnny

I will be going to see Modest Mouse in Philly on 8/19 at the Festival Pier at Penn's Landing.

I would like to try and meet Johnny.....anyone know anything about this venue? I've only driven by it, never seen a show there. Also, does anyone have any ideas on when soundcheck is or when the band might show up?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don't know anything about the venue but i did the same when Modest Mouse were in Glasgow. Johnny was really nice and talked to me about music. Good luck with meeting him

The venue is all GA and a bit unusual. There aren't seats really, more like stairs that function like curved bleachers. It's not a bad place to see a show. As for being able to meet him, I dont know how easy it will be. I dont know where the back stage area is since the stage is right up against the river.

i ride by that place all the time...its like an empty parking lot that they put a stage in for the summer. maybe i will go down there and try to meet marr.
