Morrissey Central Black Pigeon Speaks - Contrarian Morrissey & Why Modern Music Sucks

No. Of course I won't.

Okay. That's fine. But could you at least tell me where I should direct my own correspondence? Because you did say, originally, that we should do the pestering.

We'll have to pester & get them to clarify.

Unless you were using the royal "we," you were appealing to either the voices in your head or those of us on Morrissey-solo who, like you, find the ongoing collection of idiot socio-political videos on Morrissey Central unbecoming of Morrissey. So to whom do I write? I would be pleased if I could register a complaint with someone who could relay it to Morrissey or Rayner.

I would tell him that while Felix Rex is a vast improvement over Paul Joseph Watson, he nevertheless uses the term "Sigma male" unironically, which is fairly unforgivable. You can tell what kind of Vox Day / Roosh V manosphere he's living in. The amusing thing about his meat-eating video is that when he addressed the horrors of factory farming, he said something like, "the information on this is readily available and you can look it up yourself," which is true enough, but then he went on to lament how the modern meat-intensive diet is making women much fatter than they used to be. I guess he would like a slender wife. I also found it odd that he was bold enough to include footage of calves being separated from their mothers and thrown into veal crates, but isn't himself a vegan.

He feels he’s being excluded from the music industry because of his opinions. His statement said exactly that. He doesn’t need to elaborate.
Anyone who is curious enough can just go to the Messages from Morrissey page and see for themselves.
No. Morrisey hasn't say anything against race. Fav worst than K. West when hi said the worst thing America has done is eliminate slavery. Or trump saying he doesn't like blacks or poor people. Why the media turn their blind eye on this ?? Hellooo. You people are the morons !!

They're on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. And his management have an address. There are two other obvious addresses, but if they've eluded you, that's probably for the best.

Oh Harvard? Well, well well. One of the most woke universities out there.
Harvard. ? Haha. One of the must white supremacists institution out there !! Also Donald t. Is a white supremacists. 😝

Who's "they"? And do they read every comment written on their social media accounts? I have no idea who his management is. Why do you not seem to want me to contact these people, when I happen to agree with you that alt-right manly-dorks being posted on Morrissey Central is dismaying?

Ok.

I concede.

Morrissey is posting far right videos because he agrees with them.

Although he thinks the press are wrong to think it's a bad thing, they are in fact right that he's a far right British Nationalist who thinks "the West" is incompatible with Islam, and "non-white" cultures.
Isn't it your stance that he wore the For Britain badge etc. simply because he was attracted by AMW’s stance on animal rights?
Why is it then impossible for you to think that he might share a video about himself that just happens to be hosted by a far-right person on YouTube?
If central is so bad, why does he continue to post statements there, where they are mixed with the other “questionable” posts on there?

Why does it even matter if he is right-of-centre politically? He can - and does - say and think what he likes. Good for him.

At last, someone’s making some sense in this thread!

He explicitly said he thought AMW wasn't fascist or racist, and he thought the press had lied about her. And he was upset that he was being associated with the far right.

He's always denied that he was being racist at Finsbury Park, but Central posted a Morgoth video saying he only got into trouble because he was defending the white race.

There's been a lot of conversation about Your Arsenal and if Morrissey was far right on Twitter/Morrissey Solo. And having not posted anything far right for months, Central posts a far right video that says Morrissey can't get Bonfire released because he's now on the far right.

That seems to be a direct answer.

I'm not really convinced he's in control of this messaging.

But it doesn't really matter. If the video situation is ongoing then the UK press will ignore him, at best.

And that video has aligned him with Trump, and with North American anti-semitic white supremacy.

There was a campaign in LA to get him removed from Cruel World, and that's probably going to gather pace at future events because it's not just a weird British thing, it's politics they understand.

I just think it's a shame that the MM/NME set up a narrative that he was great in the Smiths, then became a racist Nazi with crap solo work no one should listen to, but the Smiths are fine because it's Johnny Marr's band.

And he fought against that narrative.

And there's still nothing he can't get out of.

But Morrissey Central has handed the MM/NME its victory.

Yeah, agree wholeheartedly. Sheer clumsiness.

To be honest, I never was disturbed by the Spiegel interview as he at least made an effort to explain himself when the interviewer seemed a bit lost.

-So you're just saying like.. everybody should stay where they are?
+No, I don't think that! *through choked laughter*

(I must say I even agree with several points he made. European hypocrisy never fails to amaze me... Bribing the Turks billion in euros and dollars so they can hold off over 10 million people that Europeans deem unwanted. Why not open the borders? Why not share the "burden" equally? A flat "no" chimes in as usual...)

I don't care for any of these vloggers, podcasters. "Look mainstream media is done with me but this guy thinks I'm cool!" What's the point? You don't need their approval and you definitely don't need their approval.

Oh and I hate that fabricated Smiths narrative as well. Singers and songwriters waxing poetic over This Charming Man, without ever mentioning our dear unmentionable.

Just imagine the support he’ll get from the right if there is a “snowflake” protest at his UK shows. And the publicity.

I think it’s quite a feat that he’s able to still garner such attention/interest/reaction. It really exemplifies the emotional investment people made in him/The Smiths.

He seems very hurt by it though. He doesn't use it to sell albums to the right. He reacts like a snowflake, and won't talk to the press because they make him feel unsafe. He actually uses the word safe about being in the studio away from the media.

He does tug at people's heart strings because he sings songs of loneliness and self-hatred, and at his best it's one of the purest expressions of emotion you'll hear in music. The people who want Nazism are going to be sorely disappointed. Even wee Travis had to keep posting Mr Bond.

But because he hates the media so much - I think it's likely - if nothing is done - that whoever decided to post Black Pigeon (and it might be Morrissey himself) effectively just ended his career.

Does he seem hurt? He has always moaned about being an outsider and unattractive to record companies, radio stations etc.
Instead of blaming radio station controllers and DJs, he has moved on to record company executives and the media in general.

He said his heart was broken, and Sparks had kicked him in the teeth.

He looked distressed on the 2019 tour. He's looking healthier now, but I'm not sure a UK tour accompanied by obvious silence or a couple of big reviews saying the old Nazi is still charismatic/has totally lost it is going do wonders for him.

Has the media picked up on the fact that he has posted that Pigeon video (yet)?

Don't listen to our resident lying bull-shitter. He never said his heart was broken about the Sparks criticising him. Here's the exact quote:

Asked whether this upset him, Morrissey told his nephew in the new interview, titled ‘Turning The Inside Out’: “Amazingly, no, because I’m quite used to it.
“I stood by Sparks for many years and I promoted them in my own humble way whenever I could, and they were famously people without opinions so I was surprised that they kicked me in the teeth. It came across as an almost fiendish ingratitude.”
He added: “Oh, the pain of parting! [laughs]. They will always be important to me as a memory.”

The original quote from the Sparks is:
He told the Press Association in 2018: “I’m totally in agreement with anybody being disillusioned [with Morrissey] because I am as well. “It seemed so inconsistent, all these perspectives that he has on those various issues, just stupid, dumb kind of things. I obviously don’t agree with any of these things. They’re just so ill-conceived and wrong.”

It doesn't need to be long - he's being excluded from the music industry because Bonfire is against immigration, and multiculturalism, and he's now a Trump supporter.
You seriously should probably seek help. I mean this empathetically.

Just checked, the only pigeon video doing the rounds is that one with Carlisle Baz and the viagra-laced breadcrumbs.
Moved to off-topic in five, four, three, two…

Ah. I’ll save that one for later.
