I was working with some new people yesterday...we got onto the subject of Moz and I said oh yeah I love the smiths' music...the reply I got was "oh such depressing, wrist-cutting music"...very bland ideas here as always...I went on to argue that Morrissey's solo stuff is not as "depressing" and this person said "Morrissey & the smiths, they're the same thing! its like saying Jarvis Cocker and Pulp, they're the same!" - How dare he compare the God of Moz to JARVIS COCKER!! These people!
At around the same time, someone who was listening said "Morrissey, whose that? Isn't he like 70? Neil Morrissey?"
