Bland. Boring. Lazy. Uninspired. Barren and bereft of new ideas. Compared to this tosh, the bonkers as f*** and cynically done exercise in tokenism featuring Thelma Houston was a work of genius. He’s capable of better than this, but the Yes men and women he surrounds himself these days pick up the paycheque and flatter him, like the courtiers of the Emperor With No Clothes. Whisper it quietly: the glory days are gone....forever. 1/10 - and I’m being far too generous by half.
 
Pretty good album track -- not quite single material. Feels like a companion piece to Spent the Day in Bed. Good tempo.
Excellent vocals and vocal melody -- Moz' voice is in top form.
Lyrics are on-the-nose. That's just the Morrissey of today. Still, the phrase Love is on the Way Out should grab the attention of some casuals.
Not crazy about Chicarelli's production. I don't have the musical knowledge or vocab, but while I like the mix itself I'd have preferred a more vintage synth for the central whirling sound. Real kids for the choir effect. Real piano. Would've elevated everything.
Excited for the album.

Suffice to say, the apologists in residence will blame “antifa” and “cultural Marxists” for this coming to pass. Not the writer and singer of the song, for all that he does is perfection, in their minds. Will BBC Radio 2 add it to their playlist? We shall see.
