The Suede thread for Suede things

Just like for YOR, Dog Man Star is the best album ever for me, by any artist, Yes, it's pretentious, overblown, etc. But this is why it stood out in 1994 from all the laddish britpop albums.

However, I'm afraid (just like with Vauxhall, if we're at a Morrissey forum), you had to be there and then and to be fully affected by Dog Man Star. If someone asked me which album should they paly first, it definitely wouldn't be it, rather Coming Up which is far nore accessible.

I am curious if anyone knows the year She's A Layabout was recorded. I assume it was at the same session/time as Wonderful Sometimes?

Anybody have any info on this?

Nothing concrete but it might have been around 1990-1 or so, around the time of Be My God.
