This is an interesting picture.

Mike in an interview from 2022: "I see Johnny at the football (we are both big Manchester City fans) sometimes and we look at each other and that’s about it. That will do for me. We are not kind of rolling around in the car park fighting and we don’t completely ignore each other. That’s fine. It’s called being civil and that’s OK."

I don't expect them to be 'best mates' after everything that went down, but it's still nice to see two ex-Smiths in close proximity without punches flying. Even before Andy passed, I had long given up any hope of a musical reunion - but it would be nice to see the remaining three happy and on civil terms, given their shared history.

I assume maybe at Andy's funeral a cup of tea was had and life was put into perspective. Maybe they remembered back to those hot electric nights playing on stage in places like Madrid, the best band in the world, at the peak of their powers, and maybe, just maybe, they have chosen to remember the positives, because at the end of the day, life's too short and way way too fragile.

Or maybe I'm talking shite :lbf:

yes, it was in the documentary.
roys keen.
munich air disaster.
we"ll let you know.
this is only the three times i can remember him writing lyrics about football.

I'm pretty sure there's quite a few more connections.

One current front view of Morrissey Central shows him wearing a no. 7 shirt.

His cousin is Robbie Keane.

I so agree, it was great seeing this picture of them together. I'm sure Johnny would have kept things civil, all that joy & hysteria going on around them. Just magical all round.

West Ham Boys Club has nothing to do with West Ham United FC, it's a youth club with the same district name in the same way Salford Lads Club has nothing to do with Salford City FC

Champagne socialists supporting football club sponsored by UAE oil money. How very rock 'n' roll.

So you think they should stop supporting a team they’ve followed all their lives because they have been lucky enough to make a lot of money and the club was bought by a group who have a lot of money?

They can do whatever they want, but perhaps it would be a good idea then to be a little less opinionated when it comes to others if they don’t want to look like hypocrite douchebags. And by “them” I mean Marr, mainly.

Can you give examples of who Marr has been opinionated about as i'm not sure what you're on about here.
