Nottingham is the toughest University to get into, with an average of 33 applications per place. That's why Mike had to go to a 'poor man's' University, completly against his Connie principals. Isn't that right Mike?

Maine Road is still there....... just the ground has gone.....
My mam went to the school opposite the old social club / superstore on Claremont Rd.
I would rather not go, back to the old ground.... there's too many memories there.......

Morrissey spent much of his childhood in Moss Side and neighbouring Hulme. Darren Campbell gold and silver sprint athlete champion, Gerald Simpson of A Guy Called Gerald grew up in Moss Side. Barry Adamson has a prolific body of solo work, including 'Moss Side Story', a soundtrack to an imaginary film.
