Star & Garter This Friday 1st March

I live next door to where Maine Road used to be. FACT.

Nottingham is the toughest University to get into, with an average of 33 applications per place. That's why Mike had to go to a 'poor man's' University, completly against his Connie principals. Isn't that right Mike?

My local town isn't famous for that much, but Geoff Hurst came from Ashton!

Brian - As much as I love the man, he was from Boro and lived in Derby. Can't really claim him as one of ours.

Unlike PAPER LACE~!

A proper band.

And, no, I just felt there was less chance of a) having to see my mum, and b) getting shot, in Manchester

It's a shame this debate cannot continue Friday. At least Steph and Mike can give each other a good tongue lashing about where is best, Nottingham or Huddersfield

Maine Road is still there....... just the ground has gone.....
My mam went to the school opposite the old social club / superstore on Claremont Rd.

I would rather not go, back to the old ground.... there's too many memories there.......

This is the best thread ever.

I love Moss Side, the bus journey to University is like a sitcom every morning.

"It's a long way, from, Maine Rd Moss Side,
It's a long way, by far,
Remember 5-1, remember 3-1,
Remember Goater scoring 2,
So!
If you don't remember Maine Rd,
You're a long way from home!"

"Push pineapple, Shake the tree....

And some people have a problem with 'kegs between my legs'. I ask you.

Agadoo has better dance moves though.

The Grand Old Duke of York
He had eleven men
He marched them up to Old Trafford
And shit on Ferguson
First we made it one
Then we made it two
And when we put the third one in
We knew we'd beat Man U!

'Ow many of these have you won though, eh?

Always sh*t on the red side of the
trent,

"When I was just a little boy,
I asked my mother what should I be,
Sshould I be f*rest?
Should I be county?
Here's what she said to me,
"Wash your mouth out my son,
Go get your fathers gun,
And shoot the forest scum
Shoot the forest scum!"

Oh City Ground
With mist rolling in from the Trent
My only desire, is always to be here
Oh, City Ground

How far have we travelled
What places we've been
Goodison and Anfield
Are places we've seen
Old Trafford and Maine Road
Still echo to the sound
Of the boys in red
From the old City Ground.
