Oh how I love this album! Any musician out there knows that it's quite complicated in certain areas, but the bass and guitars on Boy Racers and Reader Meet Author are very elementary. Most people who say it's Morrissey's worst album are just saying their opinion. They have no idea how talented the musicianship is because they don't know anything about playing guitar, bass, or drums.

Yes, I agree, this is a more music-dominated album than most of Morrissey's solo work. Maybe that's why some folks have a problem with it. I like the album because it's so bombastic!

The drum solo reminds me of the days when my music teacher used to play his damn Gene Krupa albums in class. The drums on here appeal to me more. The guitar work on "Do Your Best and Don't Worry" are sublime. I'm not a musician. I just know what I like.

Actually, Morrissey wrote some pretty memorable lyrics on this album so, I don't see why there isn't something for everybody to appreciate.
