The bit about Morrissey eating puréed peas in pastry made me laugh! How strange...I wonder if he still eats it as comfort food

I didn't learn the origins of the title 'Beethoven Was Deaf'. I'm 95%convinced that it was the punchline to a joke I once heard on The Comedians (a seventies TV showcase of mainly northern comics). But the BWD entry in Mozipedia just provides a few biographical titbits about the composer.

I'd love to hear that joke again.
