Monkees

Wow...these guys were my first concert ever on their reunion tour back in 1986.
I saw the Monkees at my first ever concert. My father took us girls, suffering through two hours of screaming preteens. Unforutnately, the Jimi Hendrix Experience didn't play at that concert, or I would have remembered it, right?!

one of the monkees is in a porn film we sell at work. Can't remember who it is or what it's called though.

Mickey was in Deep Throat (1972 -Linda Lovelace movie). He played small part as a stressed out campaign bus driver...but I don't know/don't think he got nekked. TTY, please find out :)

RLY. The two groups couldn't be any more different but it was their idea for Hendrix to open -the guys loved him. I read that during 'Foxy Lady' the crowd was saying "Foxy"... "DAVY!!" ... :D He lasted 7 shows.

I went thru a total Hendrix phase... A few people were shocked that I was so 'hardcore'.

Gosh, I should probably spend some time talking about Morrissey today :p

when i was in NYC for the Hammerstein shows, one of my roommates ( who never paid her portion of the rent, leaving myself and others to make up for it and letting her stay there for a week free.....sorry had to get that out ( you know who you are ) saw Mickey Dolenz in Grand Central Station. how could you see Mickey Dolenz in Grand Central Station and NOT go up to him and ask "hey...are you by any chance taking the last train to Clarksville??" i mean, I'm sure he's heard it a million times, but seriously. it wouldve been priceless. :D

I remembered it because it POURED on us sitting in the grass at the then Garden State Arts Center (now PNC Center).

What's really weird is that my next show was the Beastie Boys at the Capitol Theatre followed by REM at Radio City Music Hall!

This is kind of funny....there are some similarities between the songs.......hmmm........discuss!

Well, that's what made the songs so great :D the Monkees were def pattered after the Beatles, their show itself was a take off of Hard Days Night. But the Beatles liked them. I bet they all had a good laugh (and a toke :p) together about it. Imitation is the highest form of flattery :) And I know there is no comparison as to who was best, but I loved the rip-off mop toppers

here is this for fun
