Moz' voice

I was wondering about this, and I haven't really seen anybody explain this before. How do you classify Moz' voice? I'm not very interested in which range he holds, I'm more interested in knowing about the quality of it. It has this tremor-like quality, but what is it? Also, does he always sing on key on albums? He's got a very unique sound, and I don't hear many artists who sound like him, so it would be cool to know just what makes it unique. From a strictly musical perspective. C'mon, I know there are some college graduates here with a degree in music!
