because HMV had 'The songs that saved your life (or whatever it's title is @ £4.99 down from £14.99. It has loads of detail and reminds me of so many things that seemed so important then - for example the inner sleeve of "Shakespeare's Sister". If you're interested they also had the Morrissey singles box set at £18 from £28 (I didn't buy that). To cap it all the BBC used "This Charming Man" as background in the "Nation's Favourite Sitcom" programme about One Foot in the Grave during a segment on how Victor Meldrew is an unlikely sex-symbol (being a pensioner and grumpy etc).

Grumpy scottish pensioners like Victor do alright with birds. Erm....so I'm told.

We...ahem, I mean grumpy scottish pensioners do alright with Grouse when the shooting season starts on August 12.
We shoot the wee bastards out of the sky , then roast them over an open fire later.
