David Cameron Quotes Morrissey

Excellent - I'm a massive Cameron fan & am looking forward to him taking over the country at the next election. Time for the left-wing, liberal, pinko loonies to mourn, I hope!

And yes, he does have excellent taste. He's a big Smiths & Radiohead fan - no higher compliment.

Good luck Dave.

The problem I have with "Dave" is not that someone who has different political views than myself likes The Smiths, but that he seems to offer the same token comment everytime he's asked about them. "The top of the pops performance was amazing ... I don't necessarily agree with what he Morrissey says though". I mean, he seems to show no actual intellectual or emotional engagement with the music.

At the end of the day lets face it, politicians do not live in the real world. They predominately come from priviledged backgrounds and have the best education money can buy. They want to come and live where I do, on a Sheffield council estate, with a neighbour who runs a shop selling cigarettes and neighther the police, council or customs and revenue will do anything about it. That's the real world. How can these people claim to want to help or "ordinary" folk when they live a completely difference existence. Can't see it happening myself. And then to try and plug into popular culture to make themselves appear "cool" and appeal to the working class masses is an insult to our intelligence!

But isn't that a similar background to what Gordon Brown came from?
From what i can tell of politicians, they start out with the best of intentions, but by the time they get into any position of power, they've been ground down by the system.
Except for conservative politicians...they start out as balls of smarm.

I vote lib dem because it's a vote against BNP. Also, I feel I need to vote because women fought for my right to vote, so i should go out and make use of it. Unfortunately, there doesn't feel like there's much choice.

Yes you are right. Tony Blair had the best education, no inner city Comprehensive for him. Sadly I still vote Labour, it's something we do "up north". Its bred into you. Though this government are not socialists like old Labour, but the alternatives are poor. I may consider voting Green at the next election.
