How do you rate these tracks ?
I'm of the opinion that Southpaw Grammar and Maladjusted, are Moz's worst musical and lyrical offerings he's put out. Maladjusted is quite a good album, but by Moz' standards, it's not up there. Southpaw was a bad mistake, it completely lacks any of Morrissey's humanity. However the 2 tracks I've just mentioned are great, Reader Meet Author is a particular favourite of mine, and along with Trouble Loves Me, rivals anything Moz has previously done during his solo carreer. The man has still got great songs inside him, but I am unconvinced if he can consistently keep it together for a whole album. Wonder what musical style he would embrace nowadays, personally I think something along the lines of Viva Hate would be best, no point trying to reinvent yourself musically by looking for a new sound.
