Sorry Jeane dear, still haven't convinced me of the non-existence of God.

Who once said, words to the effect...

"If God didn't exist, we'd have to create one"

Plato or some such....

Blinded by science once again.
You believe everything on earth has a scientific explanation.
I don't.
What is love then...explain that in scientific terms to me.

And as for your comment God doesn't exist as he/she/it can't be proven.

Well you prove he/she/it doesn't.

You haven't managed that yet have you.

Why should we prove God exists...that's the whole idea of faith..
You don't have to PROVE anything...why should you.
Ever heard of religion, that doesn't have to prove a thing to you or anybody else.

That is why it is called "Religous belief" no explanation needed..
You either have it or you don't.
You obviously don't.

You will meet no atheist on their death bed...they all want to cling to something.

What we need is the not the will to believe, but the desire to find out, which is exactly the opposite.

At one point in my life, when I was in my 20's, I used to be an atheist. But after reading many science books as well as The New Testament - and I've come up with this explanation - I think that science AND a higher power created the earth. I believe they're combined somehow. I'm not religious, but I do believe in a higher power, whatever you choose to call it, Catholism, Protestant, Muslims, etc- they all believe in one higher power, obviously. Yes, it takes faith. with a bit of science thrown in for good measure. : )

That's a great article.
