Is Jonathan Richman an American Morrissey impersonator? They seem to sing about the same things, about love, and loneliness and silly odd observations.

I've never seen them both in the same room at the same time, so perhaps they are one and the same person?

LA Signing

What number were you?

I was number 9 but I turned my ticket upside down and get to see him earlier as number 6.
Speed.

Re: LA Signing

You were probably number 6 because I was actually number 9..

No, because Jonathan Richman releases lots of albums.

Oh Suzanne... That hurts!!!!!!!... us, of course.

I've also seen Monsieur Richman in Austin about 3 times in the last 2 years.

Well, you were not in THE signing, right? BIG DEAL!!!!!! You still have the chance to see Morrissey as much as you want. But how about me, miles away from USA??????? I just had one chance, and I must tell you that was very uncomfortable, but that was my only chance to see him. YES, I'd love to be there, near him, but it's simply impossible. Don't be hard... cause, in a special way, he is near you, but ME??????? Just in my dreams.

Here's California....Here's Texas...here's the bloody desert...

Granted I'm not going from one continent to the next, but I swear to you that if I had flown all that way and went on Friday morning to get a wristband, and saw that 300 people had a better idea than I did and camped out (and that would have happened because I take instructions literally and would have shown up sometime after 8 that morning), I would have really felt the burn.

And how else do I know I would have missed the signing? Because I have a hex on me. Something always goes really wrong when I show up to these things. I'm the Steve Urkel of Morrissey fandom. It's frustrating, but I've grown to accept my position of bumbling idiot.

That's what I said. he has been here, in my town. Me and Fabricio went to the same show. When will I see him again???????? Maybe never.

Yeah the truth has a horrible habit of doing that...it sucks don't it?!

Yes, but you have different ways to say the truth. ...With a revolver in your hands or with a flower........SO SILLY, isn't it??????????? Anyway, it sucks!!!!!

In case you haven't figured out by what I said, I live there.

Not everyone lives in California ya know. Some of us have to live elsewhere.

Living here is alright. Austin's not too bad, but for miles in every direction, there is absolutely nothing going on. Dallas and Houston are cesspools as far as I'm concerned.

You won't be the only one.

I know very well that you live in Texas, cause you told me before. I just asked if you like or not.

Yes, I KNOW. I am not that type of people who think that USA is just California, beach, heat, sun, and fun. I am not a "fool" stranger, ok?

That's what YOU think.

the answer to all your questions is YES. All of them.

sorry. you just seemed to think i lived next door to the Moz One. He may inhabit the boundaries of the US, but it really doesn't do me much good.

Who?

CT

> thats the guy from weekend at bernie's right?

What?

Why not try "There's Something About Mary"? He's the guy playing the songs accompanied by a lone drummer all through out.

Not exactly his best selection of wackiness, but it was good to see him none the less.
