F.A.O.Theo and jp -- alcohol update

Tonight, as I was strolling through the aisles of my favoured liquor store, I noticed, en passant, a mark-down on 'Rolling Rock Extra-Pale'. Never having been much of a beer-drinker, and bent by the lure of easy affordability (product at this store is often substantially marked-up) and not knowing what to expect, I picked up a couple of sixes along with my customary bottle of vodka. Not surprisingly, I find that my virgin palate has difficulty in discriminating these suds from any other beer that has graced my gullet -- so I defer to you gentlemen, did I do good? Is this something that I should sip, letting ease the ticklish aft of tongue? or gulp with my eyes closed and prised to the back of my skull, imploring the heavens for faithful digestion?

Please, be kind.

Cod...I'm really not down with rolling rock at all. My suggestion for you, a person who prefers liquor, try some German of Belgian beers. I suspect Hoeggarden or Hacker Pschorr might strike your fancy.

I'm not picky about beer but Rolling Rock's taste has never sat well with me. Lots of people think its great though. **shrug**

Try that wheat malt stuff from Munich...I forget the name...JP's favorite. It's becoming my favorite too.

As tomorrow is my birthday could you recommend an excellent beer, jp or theo? I plan on getting smashed. Thank you.

Oh that's right! Happy birthday to you, Colleen!!

I'd forget the beer and go with Johnnie Walker scotch on the rocks.

The name of that wheat malt is Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse. JP recommends it with a slice of lemon.
