What is the most influential Smiths or Morrissey track? A friend wants me to give her A CD for a long trip. Since my friend has no MP3 player i am very limited to what fits on A CD. I of course want to include 1 or 2 Smiths/Moz songs...Any Suggestions? She has heard some songs, but isn't really a fan. Here is my chance to add to our cult of fanatacism!

A Rush And A Push And The Land Is Ours and Lifeguard Sleeping, Girl Drowning

Not the most influential songs but the best.. ;-)

Re: one of his worst along with miserable lie, ewwww!

I'm always confused when I see someone dissing this song.
The lyrics alone make it a classic.
" a little higher and we're well away..."
" i need advice..nobody ever looks at me twice"
I mean Come On!

i totally agree!! moz should do miserable lie live at blackpool!! ive heard so many smiths songs live and twice as many ive not..ooh the pain, maybe he should do a full one off gig just performing what he considers to be the best smiths songs..now that would be a gig to end all gigs!!X.

in my opinion it would have to be 'last night i dreamt somebody loved me' as this was the FINAL smiths song released.simple as really.

Hand In Glove, The Boy With The Thorn In His Side, Bigmouth Strikes Again

What about "I want the one I can't have or Room Downstairs?"

i don't think he could go a little higher this time tho

I don't know about "Girl Afraid," but IWTOICH would be a good choice.
