I never knew Grant Showbiz said that. I probably read it and then forgot. Was that in The Severed Alliance?
I always took that song as Morrissey saying he is envious of those with effusive extoverted personalities as they make friends and reach out to people easily. Whereas he is more introverted and inside himself. Which we know usually lends itself to loneliness and depression.
Then again maybe Morrissey is speaking of his jealously towards hetrosexuals who are able to express themselves openly and be accepted.
Taken from what Grant said maybe he thinks that it caused Morrissey a lot of pain having to conceal his feelings for Johnny.
