Is Morrissey's undeniable status as an Anglophone cultural legend currently on par with that of full-blown cultural icons like Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Elvis Presley, Jim Morrison etc. or is he more on par with cult-level heroes (but heroes nonetheless) like Nick Drake, Lou Reed, Brian Eno, Andy Partridge, and Air Supply.
