Well, back home so a brief résumé.
The first thing I noticed when booking into the hotel was their Morrissey Buffet Menu, which was 70% meat! Odd. Met up with several people at the hotel and later on, and walked along the riverside (freezing) to the venue. Inside met up with a chap who was desperate not to lose sight of the Sanctuary Rep (I assume you made it!), and thence to the gig. Hilariously a wee Leprechaun dressed in green came on and cleaned the kit before Moz and the band came on – I’m pretty sure it was Jed. On with the gig – lots of nice banter with the crowd, a couple of Julia moments again, and hearty congratulations to Hugh and Mozrebel who both made it on stage. Redondo Beach sounded very nice, and Friday Mourning was the highlight for me – he seemed to enjoy singing that the most. A swift departure after the gig and on to The Hub, where I met up with more folk – a great venue, and very, very busy. Back to the hotel at 2:30am, and back up at 8:30am for the plane home. A great day.
Hello and thanks to the following who I had the pleasure of meeting on the day – David Tseng (& friends), Phill & Mo, Kevin, Hugh, Linda, Thursday-Pathetic (you made me very jealous!) and Father Neil Horan.
Some pictures follow, the first one is a little blurry picture of the Morrissey Menu at the hotel.
