"He's happy, so leave him alone
With his Jensen Interceptor
It's just a runaround"

What's all that about eh? Why a Jensen Interceptor? Surely it should be 'Runabout' rather than 'runaround'? As we know a Jensen is a very classy, classic car much beloved of football players and popstars of the 1970-1975 era -not the sort of car to nip down to the shops in. That sort of a car is a 'runabout' eg a Nissan Micra or a Vauxhall Nova.

That's what I'd ask Mozzer.

I like the sound and I think the sentiment of the song. It's challenging me. But then the Jensen thing is bugging me too.

Just googled it and there are 306,000 entries for runaround car and 99,600 for runabout car. That's worldwide. From UK pages the ratio is 4:1 in favour of runaround.

God, I am soooooooo sad.

Yeah, but you didn't find one Jenssen described as a 'rounaround' did you eh?

But, well, okay then, I'll let Mozzer off that one. Still, a Jensen is a very expensive car to have as a runabout - beyond the means of most teenagers I would wager. I suppose it is appropriate because he's saying that the Teenage Dad is happy and has a 'modest' home. He's not saying he's poor though.

Who am I to argue with what Moz says? No one.
