Just got new Uncut with Moz interview - the pictures are beautiful.
Read once so far - very funny interview.
Lots of interesting info too - there's a list of unreleased Moz songs, most of which I've heard of before - Striptease, Phoney, Born To Hang, Kit - but one I haven't - I KNOW WHO I LOVE ????

Uncut says it was a great Maldjusted outtake, quotes some of the lyrics.

Will try and scan later if I can...

It's a great interview and I love all the photos. Morrissey as Catholic martyr figure-just perfect!
And how blue are those eyes?

He does seem to reject the suggestion of being in love though, which sort of cancels out all the theories on here:

' I'm in love with something. I often am.'
' Not a human being, no. And on these new songs, I'm in love with something. So, keep stabbing away.'

His cat maybe? Look, don't knock it. There is much comfort in feline friendship.

So many times in interviews over the years Morrissey has said he is in love and made it absolutely obvious he doesn't mean an individual. I'm surprised people still find it so difficult to get.

Some people (not me) would claim that he couldn't really afford to have great outtakes from the Maladjusted recordings.

I KNOW WHO I LOVE

Scanner at work is bust!!!!

But I've transcribed a wee bit for you about that song:

“I Know Who I Love”
1997

An upbeat Maladjusted outtake boasting a jangling guitar melody similar to that album’s “Alma Matters”. Moz sings of highs, lows, and even “these pills I’m prescribed”. Optimistic and catchy, it still begs for an official release.
Sample lyric: “These words I’ve written down/ Convey the way that you play/ You see it, you want it, you take it/ And then it’s yours”

Re: I KNOW WHO I LOVE

“These words I’ve written down/ Convey the way that you
play/ You see it, you want it, you take it/ And then it’s yours”

That last bit reminds me of the "Honey you know where to find me"-lyrics.
"The future is around me/I see it/I seize it/I use it/I throw it away"

or is that just me?

Of course "Honey you know where to find me" is a Southpaw Grammar outtake

it cancels out nothing

morrissey has spoken in more than one interview recently of having been in love, inspiring some of the songs, but that it unfortunately didn't last.
what is wrong with all of you people who can't accept that the man has a sex drive and has acted on it?

I'm perfectly happy to accept that Morrissey has a sex drive and has acted on it!
And good luck to him.
No one would be more pleased than me to see him 'loved up'.
But if you read this particular interview he repeatedly says he is not in love with a 'someone', but a 'something'.
Of course he could be playing games with us all again. Who knows?! And is it really any of our business to know?
