Maybe if he lets you write some songs for him he will let me play guitar. Then we can get rid of that horrible rockabilly sound and get down to the business of making great songs for the old boy again i.e. the songs on viva hate.

All your messages were truly heartwarming, I'm giving up. Come and see me at my house, bring your guitar.

I don't want to start a flame war, but think about this, if you will .....

You've been posting essentially the same message now for the last few months. I can only assume that Morrissey either doesn't come here (likely) or isn't terribly interested. I'm also assuming no one has been able to help you so far, because if they had, you'd have stopped posting this message.

Secondly, Morrissey has two guitarists. They've been around while now, so I can only assume Morrissey is happy with them. Alain Whyte and Boz Boorer are both excellent musicans and good songwriters. There's nothing wrong with either "Your Arsenal" or "Vauxhall and I". "maladjusted" isn't so great, but that has more to do with the weak lyrics and poor production than the actual musicianship.

Have you considered just starting a band, writing some of you *own* songs, playing live and making a name for yourself he way all other musicans have to, rather than attempting to piggyback off the career of someone else.

Why not put your money where your mouth is and post a link to some MP3s of your music, so that anyone who *might* be able to help you could actually hear your playing. Right now everyone just thinks you're a sad, desperate lunatic Have you written any music? Have you ever played live?

Your assessment of 'Maladjusted' is way off base. Perhaps the lyrics say nothing to you about your life, but to many others 'Maladjusted' hits very close to home.

I concur that "Maladjusted" has its moments. However, it is patchy, and does seem to rate as the least favourite Moz album round these parts. (And yes, I'm sure all the fans of that particular album will spring out of the woodwork now.) I think that the album has some good songs - the title track and "Trouble Loves Me". However, "Roy's Keen" is probably the worst Morrissey single ever. Surely something so trite could never "hit close to home". "Satan has Rejected My Soul" is just a pale rewrite of "There is a place in hell for me and my friends", but with worse lyrics.

Annoyingly, some of the best songs from these sessions ended up as b-sides, noteable "Lost", "This is not your Country" and "The Edges Are no Longer Parallel".

It's not a patch on "Viva Hate", "Your Arsenal" or "Vauxhall & I". Those three albums were worthy of comparison to The Smiths. "Maladjusted" cerrtainly isn't.

Sweetness, The Smiths is dead!

Give it a rest, won't you? Why don't you join a boy band or something?
This forum needs a bouncer.

Finally, someone on this site has said that Malajusted is a good track, everything i've heard has been so negative and yet i feel that it is one of his best lyrics and with musical backing to boot. You are spot on with the rest of what you say also, good for you for not going with the flow.
