Has anyone read the lyrics of "MEXICO"? It's totally racist! Talking about us as we're some poor pitied people, whereas white people are all "alright"! Who the hell does Morrissey think he is? This is happening probably just as Morrissey suspected, but who thought it would happen after only three shows.

Why is it that as soon as Morrissey, or anyone for that matter, mentions race or gender people immediately jump to conclusions and overreact. It's absolutely horrid that people look for excuses to wrongfully accuse one another. If you saw, or heard Morrissey actually singing this song, you'd know that it's a song very much like his other songs, about the unfairness' in life, the judgments and assumptions that people automatically make. He's talking about exactly what you've just done by posting your message. You have no idea what Morrissey "means" by his lyrics, granted neither do I, however, I'm not the one going around making un-informed remarks. Instead of trying to create an audience for your personal opinions, why not keep them to yourself until you know for sure that you're absolutely correct? It's getting to the point where people of different races can't even *like* one another without people becoming suspicious. If Morrissey likes Mexicans, so what? Mexican people have no control over their own race, they didn't choose to be born Mexican. We have nothing to do with what race, age or gender we are. If Morrissey hates Mexicans, so what? Once again, we have no control over that. Since you can't change your race, why not opt to stop listening to someone who's views you don't approve of? Why make a fuss? If you don't like his new song, don't buy the album. Some people just don't feel comfortable when things get too real.

And by the way, I happen to be Mexican-American and in no way was I offended by Morrissey's lyrics.

No, no, no, no. Have you read the lyrics yet, not glanced but read??????? You've missed the point my dear Mr. Taco Loco, missed the point. This song is not any way or form putting down Mexicans or Mexico for that matter, umm, in all actuality it's about some of the un-justice of sorts. Please, please go back and read the lyrics, ummm, you will see that it doesn't state "alright" but questions whether if your ummm, from a particular culture/heritage, well if it that makes okay to do, umm, well horrid things at times. Well, you've either accomplished what you set out to do. Which I'm assuming is get all this attention or you're simply quite ignorant and lack a sense of reasoning. The lyrics to the song Mexico clearly state Morrissey's sense of sadness towards the increasing ravaging of Mexico's land. There are a lot of US companies in Mexico which get away with murder by polluting Mexican air, water and land. He also clearly states the way people of color, non-white get treated. Simply put people who are white skinned/fair skinned get better treatment. If you're a fair skinned Mexican you'll get better treatment, this has been proven don't ask for me for research sources. It's true Morrissey is a Racist against asshole people who treat others unfairly because of their skin color, race, handicaps you name it he's written a song about it. How can you see the love in his eyes and STILL YOU DON'T BELIEVE HIM!
