I remember the days when you would have conversations with extreme liberals on this site and try to find a middle ground, a common ground. I knew that you were full of shit then and I'm happy you finally revealed your true colours. By the way, you are still full of shit now...but at least you no longer fake being a moderate or a centrist. Looking back on some of your old posts, you even sounded like a liberal, condemning this and that right wing action.

What's become very evident is that you have a problem with liberals, people of colour, & Muslims. I would have thought as a Gay Republican you would have kept a more open mind.

Oaf talks about other things too. Clearly a huge Moz fan and a quality contribution to recent evolution thread, I thought.

I’ve always enjoyed Oaf’s contributions. His social libertarian/pro war line has always been pretty consistent as far as I can remember. I don't think he tried to find a "middle ground", he just used to get a better standard of argument, from Crushing Bore particularly.

I don't think he is hiding the fact that he has a problem with liberals or militant Islam - I've never seen anything racist from him. I didn't think he was gay (not that there's anything wrong with that).

You'll have to provide some sort of evidence that I have a problem with people of color. Since I don't believe there is such a thing as race, and since an old song taught me many years ago that skin color is of no more signifance than the color of the eye, I don't see how you'll find such evidence.

How does one find "middle ground" with the fever-swamp? When they get out of the fever-swamp, then we'll talk.

Well, it is all a manner of taxonomy, of your personal configuration of the "political spectrum," is'nt it? I tend to agree with you in this assessment, yet how many lefty's would regard a TRUE libertarian --laissez-faire capitalism: NO civil rights, NO minimum wage, NO environmental regulations etc.-- as anything but a rightist? For many on the left, the economic issue is paramount; in europe there have always been (so called) christian-socialists -who purport to combine socialism with traditional values, fancying themselves as denizens of the left. Of course it should be mentioned that these fools no longer champion anything resembling traditional values, which is to be expected --Socialism and Christianity are mutually exclusive.

True Socialism is an exact replica of Christianity.
Jesus would have been classed as a socialist, don't you think?
