hear hear! Darren Haymen would have to be one of England's finest songwriters. I'd recommend "The idelity Wars" as a good place to start ... razor sharp, bile filled lyrics of love, loathing and bedsit mirery. hefner are probably the UK's best indie band right now. Noisier and more lo-fi that The Smiths, but carrying something of the same spirit.
