also, Sanctuary may have posted a pic of the album cover art...

From the same page on www.sanctuaryrecords.co.uk

i hope it's not the cover!!!

The pic of Moz is cool for promoting the MEN/2004 tour but shouldn't be used for the album.

Compare that image to covers like 'Sunday' or 'Rank' and this one falls way short - The record company should employ a decent typographer and design agency to work on the artwork that will accompany the photographs by Greg Gorman and produce something beautiful.

The Maladjusted image has dated really badly and the stock used for printing always leaves fingerprints on the sleeve.

Morrissey matters

It is actually the cover - I saw it yesterday

It is indeed the abum cover.
I was invited to a listening session at the swedish record company (BMG who's distributing the album) and that pic is the cover.
Personally I think that that picture says it ALL! Everything what Moz is about is in the picture.
And oh, the album is great too...

Since when do songs only get praised because they get to number 1? How can you say something like that when DJ Casper is currently atop the UK charts?

And anyway, big hitters like Coldplay and Dido haven't had number 1 singles, and even Robbie Williams - apparently still the biggest male solo artist over here - hasn't even got close to topping the charts with any of his recent releases. Let's just say that you're a tad optimistic if think that Moz will fare any better.

Timing is the key if everyone buys the single within a couple of days that bought tickets for MEN and a fair few buy it more than once like me then it WILL go to No1 and give Morrissey something he has wanted since he was a small child eveyone knows he always followed the charts religously for years though i do agree the charts are now irrelavant and lack credability UNLESS MORRISSEY IS IN THEM.

My eyes my eyes!

And no, regardless of how much you think it, he won't get to number 1. It'll be a great achievement if he goes top 10.

Vinyl goodness

Even better than that, the 'You Are The Quarry' will be released on vinyl.
YIPPEEEE!!!!!

I was preparing myself for a CD-only release, given the American connection with this new album and vinyl doesn't seem to an acceptable format in the States.

Re: My eyes my eyes!

I know it's silly and childish... but I would be happy if he went straight to No. 1. I would be happy for about one hour, then I'd forget about it.

Re: hey Bullet I agree.

Yep, I'd like IBEH to be #1 too, but first of all Santuary have to produce sufficient copies and BMG or whatever they are called, have to distribute it. They both need to be put on notice. Sanctuary, you've been told!, and I shall be outside BMG at the foot of Putney Bridge waving a placard telling them to shift those singles.

That IS good news. I was hoping he would have released a 12" single like the "Satan Rejected My Soul","Roy's Keen" etc. They were ace.

Do you think?

Yeah, I wonder when it'll air one time on MTV2 at 3 am.
