Go to the Wherehouse and trade in your whole Tears For Fears vinyl collection and pick up Music Has the Right to Children by Boards of Canada. Oh and while you're at it, spruce up your sad wardrobe and head on over to Urban Outfitters. Then to top off your day go to OK VIDEO owned by that adorable Vietnamese couple in Corona and rent The Gaytrex Part III.

Intellectual Dance Music?
BoC is definately not that. You should clump them in the ambient subgenre of electronic music.

I dislike the other group, but I can enjoy BoC.

Want a good record along these lines? Pick up "Hands" by Four Tet.
That's a great album. Organic electronica, if you can imagine that.
