Can't connect sorry

I've got a got a few people downloading from me at the moment. I've had to place a limit on the number of simultaneous downloadsto prevent the server dying. But it is working. I'll try to re-encode a smaller version to make it faster for people as well.

Big thanx for this, charmer!

I'm downloading right now but it will take about 50 hours. Is there a time limit set on your FTP?

Not at the moment. I might have to reduce the number of users that can connect at once if it's going to take that long for people to download. Sorry... I was hoping it might be a bit faster than that. I'm experimenting with re-encoding the video at the moment to see if I can make it any smaller which should help things a bit

That's understandable. I just want this version of it so I was worried if you'd be closing the connection anytime.

The server is just running from my desktop on a broadband connection. I'll keep it running round the clock for as long as possible. I'm not sure where I stand with download resuming - I don't want to restart my computer and find that everyone has lost their partially downloaded file.

Hopefully when a couple of people mange to get hold of the file from me they'll be able to share it as well which will help reduce demand.

I intend to host it on my FTP as soon as I finish the download.

i tried to login anon, no dice

Re: is there an ftp password?

as I said to SimplyThrilledHoney - I've had to limit the number of people downloading simultaneously. If you're asked for a password it means the maximum numkber of users has been met... just have to try again later. Or download the same file from Kazaa.... I am others are sharing it on there too.

Do we need any extra video codecs in order to view the file?

I don't think so.... If you're having trouble viewing the video, someone else has posted links to the Nimo codec pack and the Kazaa codecs. Have a check there if necessary

> You shouldn't.

I'm having a problem viewing it. It says I don't have the correct codec

As Charmer said below, you should download the Kazaa-lite Codecs Pack:
http://doa2.host.sk/index.htm

or the Nimo Codecs Pack:
http://nimo.titanesk.com/nimo/

Thanx for the links. Do you specifically know which codec is needed in the Nimo pack?
