I will shortly be moving house, and would like the process to be as stress free as possible, and one of the most difficult things to move is not that big annoying wardrobe which my Grandmother left, but the record collection. Over the weekend I've been sorting through over 1000 LPs and a load of singles and I'm letting about 70% of them go, just keeping my favourite albums. Now there are some real gems I'm selling, and some very rare stuff such as Stiff Little Fingers signed copy of Inflammable Material, orignal Patti Smith, Television, Roxy Music, Ramones albums, Never Mind The Bollox picture Disc, loads of rare punk stuff and all sorts of 80s bands.

Whats the best way for me to get value for money, but also be able to sell them before I move on July 11th ?

Try www.netsounds.com or co.uk i cant remember but you will get decent £ for your records

Good luck

I can't actually e mail you at the moment cause my e mail is knackered.
If you are from England, preferably reasonable travelling distance from Sheffield we might be in business, but because I'm after a quick sale I don't have the time to go through the process of selling them to anyone living abroad, sorry, but the timing is not good.

And cheers to Punchdrunk for the link.

DON'T DO IT BILLY UNLESS YOU ARE DOWN TO YOUR LAST CRUST! It sounds as if you have a fantastic collection and you will be haunted until your dying day if you sell it.
Whoever you sell them to will give you a fraction of their real worth.

Well for someone who has always said to others in similar positions you should never sell your old vinyl I suppose it is double standards. Maybe I will just get rid of the crap bands such as Dead Kennedys, Anti Nowhere League, all that hardcore/Oi crap, Ive got an unusual ammount of Bananarama for some reason. I blame Fun Boy Three and an old girlfriend for that one, Spandau Ballett agh, Duran Durans Rio album (oh dear) these mistakes of the past must be eliminated.
I should really keep The Ramones first 2 albums though, we'll have to see, I've got a couple of leads I can follow up already. I'm not looking to make a nice profit for myself, just convienience really.
