At last weeks' Brixton gig Morrissey arrived on stage and said something like "We come to you direct from Notts Plaiting" Where was it he mentioned? For some reason the place sounds familiar. Don't know why. It could be somewhere in London, or USA?

Could it have been Miles Platting?
If so it's a not so salubrious area of Mancunia.

Miles Platting Tripe Colony

Its near the City of Manchester Stadium in East Manchester.

There was once an article about that area in the Guardian/Observer as it was, still is a no go area, the pictures used in the article were taken by no other than Linder Sterling!!
