Exactly. This kind of shit happens all the time. But 99.9999% of the time, it's totally fine. It's just that f***ed-up 0.0001% that makes it look foolish.

yeah but she was "in love " with him,but i get your point,people make unwise moves in any decade,but she did know him in that she thought she did,albert fish had been in the budd household for but a day and was allowed to take thier daughter off to a party.
i would hope people would not be so trusting these days,and of course one cant really blame the parents in the Budd case,fish kill their daughter ,not them,though im sure the guilt was horrible,like it would be for any parent in such a situation.
He didn't take her to the party until a second visit a few days later, I think. By that point, he'd agreed to hire the family's son, and so the family may have felt somewhat compelled not to offend their son's new boss by refusing to let him take their daughter to a party.

That's about how long Amber Frey knew Scott Peterson, she wasn't "in love" with him at the time, it was just convenient. But like you said, she thought she knew him.
People are born evil but occasionally a select few of them can be made not-evil.

actually i think racism and homophobia is generally a sign of stupidity,to me anyways,so maybe.

From what I have read a bout Fish I believe he was predestined to have an evil temperament but the childhood he had influenced the monster he became.He was regularly beaten at the orphanage and shown only evil.
It is probable that he learnt a mechanism of coping with that pain by accepting it and then even enjoying it.Is it not also plausable that he may have had his first erection during a beating?A boys first sexual encounter always leaves a lasting impression.Then in his first gay relationship he was persuaded to drink urine and eat shit.I think some people are drawn to the perverse and when one perversion has been conquered the only way of achieving another high is to beat it with something worse.
Anyway I've decided to give serial killers a rest and concentrate on my knitting.

mary bell was only ten when she killed two young boys,so one could argue thats a sign you are born that way,but then if you read further and research the case you find out her mom was a prostitute and her dad was a criminal and evidence came forward showing that the mom tried to kill mary bell on several occasions.

Violent sociopathy does not arise on it's own. Look at all the most famous killers you'll find serious abuse. This doesn't excuse they're actions, it just explains them. All scientific data supports environment over genetics in the expression of violent behavior, it may be a contributor, but if it is, it's the smaller part of the equation.

I agree, we like to believe that people are born evil because it is a much simpler concept and easier to deal with. Of course people are predisposed to being certain ways, but in almost every case people don't become "evil" unless these traits are unlocked or developed in childhood. We see it in others ways too. The children of alcoholics almost always become an alcoholic or marry one. Those raped or sexually assaulted during childhood are more likely to become rapists themselves. Sociopathic murderers usually have extremely disturbing childhoods. But nothing is more sad or disturbing than a serial killer coming from a good family (which has occurred enough times to take it seriously). And for the record: no one is born evil. Babies don't crave murder or destruction. People grow up into evil, people are made into evil, and no 1 week old child has a 100% chance of growing up a murderer no matter what anyone does.

Or prostitutes and porn actresses. Which is much better, I mean imagine if every sex worker who was sexually abused as a child/teenage girl became a rapist instead! This world would be a considerably less safe place.
