Worst Morrissey Songs Ever.

Dear Pop pickers

Worst Morrissey songs ever.......

"Papa Jack." What was he trying to say here. A grandfather who onec had grandkids. Grandparents have more rights than divorced couples' these days. I found it boring, if not a little pretenteous.

"Do your best and don't worry". Again rather boring with no real hold on enything that might be described as a tune. People usually manage to hang themselves without eny help from others in everyday life enyroad, so why tell them not too?

"Our Frank" How the hell did this become a single. When I have taped this album, I have forgone this track, and with good reason I feel. It's crap.

Sorry Mogs fans but I buy the albums and singles like all of you do, if enyone has the right to critisize, we have.

Does enyone else out there have a chart for worst Morrissey songs ever?

Regards.

TeddyMorrissey.

I always hated

"You're the One for Me, Fatty"

I agree with Papa Jack. I think East West and Tony the Pony are pretty low ranking as well.

Hmm...I like the words to Papa Jack.

East West, not the best, hehe

Come on! Tony the Pony is great.. Free ride on Durable Tony, can't beat that.

I'd pick Now I am a Was, Heir Apparent, Pregnant for the Last Time and You've Had Her. Can't say I hate them, but I surely don't love them. And I never ever play them anymore. And from the Smiths' era, I always found How soon is Now rather boring.

But that's personal. And I've a bad reputation anyway.

Feel free to try to convince me of my wrongbeings.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! The worst morrissey song is easily "The harsh truth of the camer's eyes"!!!

Re: Worst Morrissey Songs Ever. Dear Johnny

Dear Johnny

I suppose that as always, it's a matter of taste. "Harsh truth......" is not a wonderful, but not a bad song. Allbeit that the "Kill Uncle" album itself was rather lightweight for my liking enyway. Kill is the "worst" album, hands down. But then I suppose when you have a fat cat sitting behind a desk at EMI, smoking endless cigars and blowing the smoke in our hero's face saying "We want another album from you - and yesterday!!!" what can you do. I should imagine if we had a talent like mozzers', everyone would want a piece of us. Wherever you go and whatever you do in life, someone somewhere wants money out of you. I still feel that he has the wherewithall and knowhow to create and maintain his own record label. He doesn't need the big record labels, who's employee heirarchy are rubbing their hands and counting the money they'll make which will be sumitted into Swiss bank accounts. Or give them six months in the West Indies. Everbody wants a bit or mozza - even us all the time. I still feel he doesn't get enough exposure on telly though. I carn't remember the last time I saw him on VH-1....yes I can Alma Matters, when it was in the charts, and only the onec. I watch VH-1 quite alot as well. Maybe if he appeared on Jools Holland singing "Southpaw Grammar(title track) and "Whatever happens I love you" wearing a pantomime cow or horse outfit, it might get him noticed!!!!!

Snr Moz was on Later with Jools once wasn't he at time of Southpaw. I remember 'Boyracer' done but what was other song? He did a chat at the piano too but is was clearly quite a strain as Jools did all the talking. Now what about a 'Parkinson' with Morrissey or 'This is your life'? Woah!, what about 'An audience with Morrissey' filmed at Teddington Studios in front of a 'celeb' audience made up of most of the cast of Coronation Street and The Bill.....

these are all pretty bad songs...except "tony the pony"...i don't know, it just has it's own charm. what absolutely sucks is "dagenham dave"

Re: The edges are no longer parallel

never heard of this one!!!!!!

I'm fairly certain that the other song he performed was "Sunny". I remember being quite cross at his inability to get a word in edgeways during the "interview"(Jools monologue)

Found Found Found

It's a B-side + it does suck... But not as much as 'Papa Jack'.

You know what other songs of his should go to hell ? 'Break Up The Family' + 'My Love Life' Those songs make me feel so gross. (Rather read Anthem 500 times)

I guess that I am one of the odd ones.....while Papa Jack isn't one of my favorties, I would hardly say that it "sucks". Edges is a beautiful song, one of my favorites. What is it about the song that turns you off?

Ah..well that song to me is just slow + drags on. I do like his vocals in the song, though.

There are quite a few songs that aren't Morrissey's best but the only one that I think is absolutely horrible is Ambitious Outsiders. It doesn't seem like anyone ever brings this one up when talking about his worst songs.

papa jack + you've had her

I AGREE THAT PAPA JACK IS @#!!!E but what about "YOU'VE HAD HER"??
