Can someone help me out with this song, as to the meaning of this song? Patricularly the line "I'm starved of mirth, Let's go and trip a dwarf"

I believe this song is about the times when he and Linder used to just go walking, out of sheer boredom, with the intention of doing silly, ridiculous things, never intending to carry them through. Just silly things that they thought would be a laugh.
