As I stated: Steve Lillywhite has got a trademark warm and organic sound to the records he has produced that I really think suited Morrissey. Just listen to a single like Boxers, that's as much pure Morrissey as it is pure Steve Lillywhite.
My problem with Stephen Street lies mostly within the songs, wich I think often were too simple and unoriginal (with a few wonderful exceptions, of course). And also, Streets production I think is a bit to tame and lame for Morrissey 2003. He needs to come back with a bang, not with a puny whimper and a thin 80's-smelling production (as I suspect would be the result with Street in the producers chair).
