....and I'm not kidding here.
The story goes that a woman was murdered in the flat beneath mine about 50 years ago. Her husband split her head with an axe. Two preoccupants of that flat independantly from each other claimed they saw a dark figure in the living room some nights.
Now my bedroom happens to be right above that room..... when I told the story to a friend once the lights started flickering big time and since then I never told anyone whilst being at home. It's scary. This is a nice house though so I'm not moving out.
Another ghost story: when I was 18 I went to Florence on a class trip. On one of the excursions we took a look around an old monastery. Then there was one room which was completely empty but had nice mosaics on the floor. You couldn't actually go inside but just look in from the doorway. My attention was quickly drawn to some really weird, really disgusting smell which left me paralised, then shaking and finally crying. The weird thing was that noone else seemed to smell anything and all my mates thought I was going mad. When we left the building though I got the chance to speak to one of the guides and ask him what had been going on in that room.... it turned out that it had been the room where the monks used to be led into to die.
Along the main road near my house is an old people's home which - surprise, surprise - used to be a monastary aswell. They have a gate house which I always have to pass on my way to catch the bus. It's very small but clearly very old, the year above the door says eighteenhundredsomething. Nobody lives in there. Now I'm talking about a very busy main road in the middle of Hamburg, not some spooky lonely kind of place. But still, every time I pass that empty old house it's like a cold claw grabs my little heart and squeezes it. I'm determined to ask someone about what happened there soon and I'm sure it was horrible.
I also attract weird coincedences - can anyone else report such things? Like for example, every time something annoying happens to me I can almost be certain that it'll lead to something good - example: last week I missed a bus and was mighty annoyed, until a car stopped and it turned out to be an old school friend whom I hadn't seen for seven years. The best of such things happened to me during the Morrissey tour: I missed the train that was gonna take me to the show in Bremen so I had to borrow a friend's car instead. Then I got into a traffic jam and ended up being three hours late (not for the show, just the time I had wanted to be at the venue). As you can imagine I was really annoyed but to my unlimited surprise I bumped into Morrissey's support band Sack on the motorway!!! I mean helloooooo - what are the chances to meet someone on the motorway?? And it wouldn't have happened without the mess beforehand..... so there you go, I usually don't worry when silly things happen to me.
Tell me your metaphysical stories cos I'm bored..... anyone seen a U.F.O.?
