Question for expert on Moz...Help?!?!?

Way back Morrissey was quoted in an interview as saying he had just finished writing/recording one the his best songs ever. This was in his Solo days. does anyone remeber the interview (magazine)? More importantly, does anyone know what song he was referring to?

he may have said that more than once, but what you describe reminds me of an interview where he said that about "I've Changed My Plea To Guilty". it may have been one of the early 90's Details interviews.

I think it was details now that you mention it, but I did not remember him actually naming the song. Thanks for the information.

i'm really not in the mood to dig up the magazine, but i remember the interviewer commenting on how stripped down the song was, just voice & piano... in contrast to Moz's then heavily produced pop. i'm positive the song was "I've Changed My Plea".

It is an interesting comment about that song...Frankly, I do not think it is one of his best.....but that is just me....thanks again fo your help!
