Question: ALma Matters and Beck

Does anyone know what the significance (if any) of Moz wearing a Beck tee shirt in his 1997 video for Alma Matters? There's a scene where he is wearing the tee shirt while making himself a bowl of cereal and a skinhead girl is shouting at him- he then throws the cereal over here.

Answers on the back of a dress to the usual postcard please.
