Firstly, can I recommend the current NME for the free CD as much as anything.. After all, Everyone should own 'Pablo Picasso' by Jonathon Richman..
Anyway, there's the NY Dolls on there for Moz offiandos.

However, most interestingly, in the write up about drug casualty Pete Doherty (ex Libertines joint main man, recently imprisoned) there was mention of a Libertines cover version of 'Jeane'.. now if anyone has heard this from Londons finest.. I'd be most interested to hear their comments. And if they can put it on Kazaa, that'd be even better! they also allegedly covered the Corals 'Dreaming of You' which would be good as well.

Firstly can I NOT recommend the current NME for the free CD because it has a Duran Duran track on it, somewhere about the middle. I suspect that the track wasn't actually a choice of The Strokes, but is a new low-tech copyright protection method i.e. no one will want to copy this CD with a Duran Duran tune it.

Moz officionados will also appreciate the Johnny Thunders track though.

Agree about Jonathan Richman & the Modern Lovers Ruff. Modern Lovers '88 I think is my favourite album and 'New Kind of Neighbourhood' the best track of all.

Of course Duran Duran are shite but Americans love them.

The Libertines piece was interesting.

There's also a review of a band called The Ordinary Boys. Where have I heard that phrase before?
