A CLOSE relative of Ryan Giggs attending the Manchester United and Wales star's book signing in WH Smith in Cardiff wasn't surprised when told by the manageress that the autobiography had sold a lot better in the Welsh capital than in Manchester. The Giggs family member replied: "There are more United fans in Cardiff than Manchester."

Yes, it appears that people from all over the world CHOOSE to support United, whereas City fans tend to be natives of Manchester, obligated to support City out of family/peer pressure or just good old fashioned wilful spite which stems from a pathological and extremely unattractive jealousy of United's many honours, titles and trophies.
As City fans like to point out (endlessly, repeatedly, and ever so f***ing tediously), the majority of their fans live in Manchester, but after all, why on earth would anyone from OUTSIDE Manc CHOOSE to support City?
Although, I am told that they have a supporter as far afield as Edinburgh.
