The setlist was a typical one for this period. The Smiths played some material that would appear in the summer on "The Queen Is Dead" as well as some older songs, mostly from 1985. For some reason the expected "Frankly Mr Shankly" was not played.

The Smiths were very well received in Belfast. The crowd cheered them heartily and sang along to the songs they knew. After "Vicar In A Tutu", Morrissey started "This was a new song... called... called..." but never finished what he had to say because the audience was too loud. After "Nowhere Fast", Johnny teased the audience with the first notes of "This Charming Man". The crowd really showed their appreciation for "What She Said", so after the song Morrissey thanked them "Thank you, you're very nice". Before "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" he announced "This is another new song... so... listen..." Before "Meat Is Murder", he enquired "Does anybody have anything to say?" Returning on stage for the final encore, Morrissey apologised for his "...voice just about to go" and dedicated the next song "... for our dear friends The June Brides... sweet boys... 'Hand In Glove'!"
