You Have Killed Me Video on C4

Saw the video and heard the single for the first time on C4 tonight (have resisted all the links floating about so far). It took me a moment to warm up to the song, I guess all this build up of anticipation got in the way somehow. But it didn't take long before the magnitude of the whole thing dawned on me - I was witnessing Morrissey's new single from ROTT. So naturally I crawled in front of the TV and licked his feet (and accidently, the drum kit).

I recorded it with Sky Plus so I had the good fortune to watch it back and forth a couple of times (ok, 8 to be precise). This is gonna sound like a bizarre question but did you notice how wide Boz's trousers were? I couldn't get my eyes off them.

But I guess the best moment was Morrissey's expression at the very end. It was a bashful grin as if saying "What have I done with this video..."

Re: Boz's Trousers & I don't like the T-shirt

Yes, weren't Boz's trousers huge! My theory is that he didn't have any suitable shoes to wear in the video so they let his flares out even more to cover his bare feet. And didn't he look mean in the close-up to his face. Rather oriental. "Boz the merciless"!

BTW I don't like the 'chalk out-line' T-shirts

Yeah I was quite amused by that "mean" look. It was like "I am not CUDDLY, I'll have you know!!". He's also got a designer beard going as well. And dare I say he seems to be in a lot better shape than the last time we saw him on tour.

I know there's some criticism over the video looking somewhat "low-budget", but that's kind of missing the irony of the whole thing. It's akin to saying The Blair Witch Project has shifty camera work, you know.
