I believe that Morrissey and Warhol are linked in a very strange kind
of way. Steven had a big career change in the early days, from obsurity in what could be perceived as very humble roots in Manchester, and Warhol, who also had very similar struggles in his
early years with life in Pittsburgh.
Both were very adventurous and wanted to 'break away' and to achieve success from an early age. It's ironic really, that both moved very quickly into a more glittering world of musicians, and celebs, taking opportunities to ensure that there money and newly found fame did not go to there heads. Both maintained a honest and hard working environment, and lately Morrissey has shown a great deal of passion and responsibility to his fans, something which many pop stars don't really think about.
It would be very interesting to listen to Morrissey talking about
Warhol.
