I started it! After the news that there are major concerts lined up next summer for the stadium. You can bet one of the two will be playing there, but it's more likely to be the London/Dublin born beat combo than the Manchester one.

Erm, how about Oasis or one or other of the Gallaghers?

yeah Michelangelo, I read that on the site about gigs lined up for next summer. Think Spongebob might be closer the mark though eh? Oasis are bound to have a new l.p. out by then & it'd be the Maine Rd (part 2) only bigger eh? Mind you are they big enough these days to fill 59,000?

cheers

possibly but same question as Oasis are REM still big enough to fill 59,000?
maybe so, with a few other big timers in support eh?

It is a decent point, but I don't think they know where the stadium is. Liam doesn't watch City anymore as every time he gets the chance to it is not a BIG ENOUGH match. I think they may struggle to fill it. City could do with the extra cash, Wardle has thrown away Bernsteins good work, the soft loan he leant city only covers the purchase fee for Robbie Fowler. Thanks! The Stones are playing New Wembley in 2006, if there are two different headline bands which will play COMS, there are not many likely scenarios.

They play Old Trafford Cricket Ground next summer in the smae city. Tickets haven't sold out. COMS holds 250% more people, they won't play both.
