Quite a silly story at NME.com, where they take Morrissey's recent comments about never having been made a serious financial offer to reform the Smiths, and approach various promoters to gauge interest. Offers of a million and upwards are bandied about.

The Smiths will never reform. He doesn't need any of the other Smiths because HE was The Smiths, or at least 90% of it. He created the world the Smiths mean. And he is still there, holding the torch. The other ones never held any.
