Very disappointing, just 27,487 copies sold! If I remember well YATQ sold around 60,000, the first week in the US. This time it would have been enough to make the Top Ten, even with many new releases charting.

No wonder he's not touring there!

I don't see it on Billblard yet, but if correct, that's really sad! When I saw Prince's new album hit #1, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs debut at #11, I thought for sure Ringleader would debut in the top 10. What happened to all the fans that bought Quarry in the first week - did they suddenly drop off the face of the earth?

Of course, that was helped by having some airplay behind IBEH. What does Moz have to do to get a song from ROTT on the radio in North America?

> According to this he's at no.27.

im from america and i dont even own a radio there is nothing but shit played on it!

YATQ turned a lot of people off

many people i know aren't giving morrissey another chance because of YATQ...thus sales will be slow until they hear ROTT is a different album.

not to mention who in the US knows ROTT came out? sanctuary isn't promoting it because they are bankrupt.

oh and, Morrissey isn't touring the US because he is in Europe..how can he play two places at once? some people are pretty stupid here.

not # 40 but #27 then

A bit better and i am sorry for the mistake. Actually the chart I saw this
morning was supposed to be final! However still a disappointing position and just 33,783 copies sold.
