Didn't morrissey have a cat named Tibby? and didn't the cat live for 22 years or something? anyone know more? what year did he/she die? any pictures with morrissey?

My beloved tabby cat lost her battle against kidney disease last night. She was 11. 23 is amazing. I was hoping my tabby would live forever.

So, console me/Otherwise, hold me

I am very very sorry about your cat!
My cat is 11 years old, I can't imagine life without her.

Just seen your post retrousse nose and i am sorry for your loss.
Take care and remember her forever.

Consider yourself consoled and held

*puts arms around retroussé nose* You are with people who know and care. My cats are both 14 and I dread the day when I'll say goodbye.

I hope you can feel better soon.

- revisiting this thread again, nearly a year later, because the dreaded has happened. I can't believe it. All I want to do is cry and my other cat is cleary upset too. She doesn't understand what has happened to her sister. Or maybe she does. Maybe she does. [May 18, 2007]

- - back again, another 11 months later. My girls are now side by side just like the old days, never to be separated again. And I miss them so. [April 14, 2008]

So sorry, retrousse nose. :( Our pets really steal our hearts, it's so hard when they leave us. My sympathies to you, take care of yourself.

My sympathy goes out to you Retrousse. I lost my beloved 8 year old cat to cancer on 14th July last year and am still not fully over it. This poem will probably make you cry, but it also will help a little

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day come when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together…..
