Kick a song off of each album (The Smiths)

THE OPERATION DRUMS ON SOUTHPAW SUCKS

A FINE SONG WHILE YOU CUT OF THIS AWFUL DRUMSOLO ON THE BEGINNING OF THE
OPERATION. THEN DELETE THE TEACHERS ARE AFRAID OF THE PUPILS. THEN IT LOOKS
LIKE A GOOD ALBUM AGAIN. CUT OF THESE NON-MORRISSEY-SONGS.

No way. Both should stay. In fact I think "Teachers" is the highlight of the album and is an amazing live song.
Every time Morrissey does something different he gets a slated for it.

""Be rash,be bold". Start a song with a 3 minute drum solo. It shows much more imagination that 99.9% of intros you will hear. AND...it was Spencer...Morrissey's great, lost love who performed it.

It also worked amazing well as the introduction to the live shoes a few years ago. The anticipation was almost palpable when this started to play moments before Moz took the stage.
