If there was only one person you could meet...

ok because I am getting sick of other topics, I'm starting a new one. If there was one person you all could meet, would Morrissey be your first choice? I think he's fascinating but I don't know whether I'd want to meet him. Ok so who would you all meet? Choose one alive and/or one dead.

Kirstie

This has probably been a previous topic of conversation but not while I've been here and like I said before, the topics circulating right now are just not appealing to me.

If I could meet anyone I would have to say.....Jesus. Sorry, Moz.

I WANT TO MEET HELEN DANIELS OFF NEIGHBOURS FOR A GOOD HARD @#!!!ING!

Good to see a change of tact.

For me it would be Louise Brooks. Louise was a famous movie star from the silent movie era. She is just stunning to look at and had that famous bob haircut which no one ele has looked as good as she did. I admire her because in that industry she was still very much a outsider, didn't play along with all the Hollywood politics and she was quite intelligent. Once the talkies arrived she was no longer wanted as her hick drawl wasn't what was needed. The other would be Richey Edwards from the Manic Street Preachers, although he probably wouldn't want to meet me.

I like these kind of things.

I'd love to meet Orson Welles. I love his movies, his face, his life is so fascinating, and I have lots of pictures and books about him. I also have some files with his voice, etc...

I'd love to be face to face with him, when he was still young.

Is Richey alive or dead?

Love the Manic Street Preacher reference! Is Richey alive or dead??

Oh he's alive 4 real. Is Nicky Wire bcoming the new Morrissey? With the new song "So Why So Sad?" that's a Moz song title if ever there was one.

But the song sounds kind of punk up Beach Boys. I like it, though, I think the other single is better.

I got banned from Napster for downloading new Manics' stuff. Anyone else have that experience?

As much as I would like to believe that Richey watched "Eddie and the Cruisers" one time too many, I think he's dead.

if the message board sucks do you get post traumatic stress disorder?

Sarcasm can be translated overseas??... Some people here just play with fire, and they are able to go on and on, until you feel really disgusted. The best thing to do is playing dead!

I would NOT like to meet Morrissey. He is perfect where he is, and I have nothing to say to him. Of course that I'd love to receive a simple "hi"from him or something like this, but he has shown so much in his lyrics, videos, shows, interviews, that I simply just want to keep what I feel for him: LOVE, and distance.

I think he's fascinating but I don't know

Yeah, we joined the bandwagon and were banned for downloading new Manics' stuff....not the Manics' idea, though...they said it was the label. It's good to know there are other Manic/Moz fans out there!

Living: future boyfriend
Dead: Anyone as long as they can fill me in on what to expect on the afterlife.

I choose to meet the Dalai Lama.

We would sit on the highest mountain and talk about human suffering, and happiness. Swap philosophies and thoughts, and a game of chinese chess.

without hesitation oscar wilde. the main reason is that people who spoke of him that knew him always said that written word couldnt do justice to the art with which that man conducted a conversation.recently i went to a lecture given by his grandson merlin holland on his life, in memorium of the centenial anniversary of his death, it was amazing. he was brilliant and besides english accents make my knees shake(sound like anyone we know...). just one more thing for me to blame/thank morrissey for.

I have read Oscar Wilde so much when I was a tennager that I am a little exausted. he describes, and describes, and describes, until you realized that you are in a "english" room, but there's no one there BUT Oscar, looking to his mirror. yes, his life was so fascinating, or even better, his "persona", that sometimes he put some shadows above his writtings. The last of the real modern heroes, I agree: HE WAS A PIECE OF ART.

But it was very frustating as an American Manics' fan because it's so hard to get their stuff here. The songs I downloaded probably won't even be released here!

And I had to lose my username -Mozmanic - to get back on.

from what I know about PTSD, it is caused more often by traumatic war experiences or rape and things like that but well I guess anything is remotely possible,

I think I'd stop coming here if I started having PTSD symptoms though.
